Health is critical to human welfare and human productivity. Conscientious efforts are made to promote and create access to affordable and quality healthcare services at the taluka level, which is not available even in district headquarters.
COVD-19 has been challenging for millions around the world. From personal losses to a shortage of medical supplies, we felt the heat of the pandemic, but these challenges were faced head-on. With Remdesivir sold for as high as rupees 50,000 in the open market, Astitva ensured the same drug was sold for rupees 750. We set up oxygen plants to provide oxygen to critical patients. People were encouraged, and facilities for vaccinations were set up. Taking things a step further, we distributed rations and masks to everyone in need. Thus far, more than 30,000 families have been aided with medicines, vaccination, and other relief measures.
General health camps are being organised monthly in collaboration with SVKM’s Tapanbhai Mukeshbhai Patel Memorial Hospital, Shirpur, and Nanavati Max Super Specialty Hospital, Mumbai, ensuring accessible healthcare for all.
The camp provides free check-ups, expert consultations, and early detection of diabetes, hypertension, and heart-related conditions. Healthcare professionals are made available to offer personalized guidance and recommend treatments.
Beyond medical care, the camp focuses on preventive health, educating attendees on nutrition, lifestyle diseases, mental well-being, and regular check-ups.
By bringing healthcare closer to the community, these camps bridge gaps in access and promote early action for long-term well-being.
Because good health starts with awareness and accessibility.
In the small villages of Shirpur, many children struggled to see the blackboard clearly, making it hard for them to learn. Astitva’s eye check-up camps brought a solution by checking students' eyes regularly and giving them glasses if needed. For some children, this was the first time they could see the world clearly. With better vision, they became more active in their studies and gained the confidence to do well in school. These camps helped turn blurry dreams into clear goals, giving children the chance to shine in their education.
In the quiet corners of villages and bustling towns, vision is often taken for granted until it starts fading. Recognizing the critical need for timely intervention, we organize twice-monthly eye check-up camps, with a special focus on cataract detection and surgery. These camps serve as a lifeline for countless individuals, especially the elderly, who face challenges accessing quality eye care.
Our initiative combines skilled ophthalmologists, modern diagnostic tools, and a compassionate approach to ensure no one is left in the shadow of visual impairment. Beyond diagnosis, we facilitate free cataract surgeries for those in need, restoring sight and the dignity and independence that come with it. Each camp is a step toward brighter futures, enabling individuals to see the world—and their dreams—more clearly.
Through this ongoing effort, we illuminate lives and strengthen communities, proving that the gift of vision is priceless.

Sickle Cell Disease is a lifelong battle, but no one should have to face it alone. In collaboration with SVKM’s Tapanbhai Mukeshbhai Patel Memorial Hospital, Medical College, and Research Centre, Shirpur, We organized a Free-of-Cost Sickle Cell Check-up Camp every 2 months, providing medical consultations, follow-up care, free medicines, and counseling. Patients arrived burdened with fear but left with knowledge, support, and renewed hope.
Beyond treatment, we empower patients through awareness sessions, lifestyle guidance, and assistance in claiming Maharashtra Government’s Sickle Cell Schemes, ensuring they receive the support they deserve. For many, this camp was more than just medical aid—it was a turning point, a step toward a healthier, more secure future.
Safe blood saves lives, we are committed to ensuring every drop counts. Our Blood Awareness Program focuses on educating communities about the importance of safe blood transfusions. We promote NAT (Nucleic Acid Testing) Blood Screening, a modern technique that detects infections like HIV and Hepatitis at an early stage, ensuring the blood is safe for patients. Through awareness drives, donor education sessions, and blood donation camps, we empower people to choose NAT-tested blood and reduce health risks associated with unsafe transfusions. Our goal is to build a culture of safe blood donation and ensure every patient receives the best possible care.
For those living with disabilities, regaining independence can feel like an impossible dream. Astitva, in collaboration with Narayan Seva Sansthan, turns this dream into reality by providing artificial limbs and essential treatments. This partnership focuses on restoring mobility and confidence to individuals who have lost it due to accidents, illness, or congenital disabilities.
The artificial limbs are more than just medical aids—they are lifelines. They enable recipients to walk again, work, and participate in daily life without depending on others. For many, this support brings not just physical movement but emotional strength, helping them rebuild their lives with dignity and pride.
Through this initiative, Astitva and Narayan Seva Sansthan prove that compassion and collaboration can overcome barriers. Together, they give people the tools they need to stand tall, take their first steps toward independence, and embrace life with renewed hope.
