With a rich experience in the field of education, we actively collaborate with the Shirpur Educational Society (SES) and several other educational institutions to provide the highest learning for the local populace. Owing to our extensive experience, we have partnered with four tribal schools and actively organise extracurricular workshops and awareness programs that provide holistic learning. With free basic education, nourishment, and general development, we ensure the futures of these tribal children are secured.
In many rural areas, girls often felt scared and confused about their periods because no one spoke openly about it. Astitva changed this by organizing workshops where girls could ask questions and learn about menstruation. These sessions taught them about hygiene, broke old myths, and helped them feel normal about this natural process. With the right knowledge and support, girls felt more confident to attend school regularly, even during their periods. What once felt like a secret burden turned into something they could handle proudly and fearlessly.
Creating a safe world for children starts with awareness. Astitva’s Good Touch and Bad Touch Awareness Program teaches children to understand the difference between safe and unsafe physical contact. Through engaging and age-appropriate sessions, this initiative helps children recognize boundaries, build confidence, and learn how to protect themselves.
The program also involves parents and teachers, encouraging open communication about these sensitive topics. By breaking the silence and empowering children with knowledge, Astitva fosters a sense of safety and respect within communities. This initiative not only protects children but also strengthens trust and harmony in the community by prioritizing their well-being and security.
Astitva believes in shaping future leaders by teaching children the importance of civic responsibility. Through this initiative, children are encouraged to take part in local community projects that address real problems, such as waste management or improving public spaces. With guidance and mentorship, these young minds learn to turn their ideas into meaningful actions. The program helps children feel confident and united as they work together to create positive change in their neighborhoods. This not only strengthens their communities but also builds a sense of pride and responsibility in the next generation.
Mental well-being is as important as physical health. Our Mental Health Workshops are designed to create a safe space for open discussions around emotional health, stress, and anxiety. These workshops bring together mental health experts and counselors who guide participants on recognizing signs of emotional distress and developing coping strategies. We aim to break the stigma around mental health issues, encourage individuals to seek help when needed, and promote a culture of emotional resilience in families, schools, and workplaces. By empowering people to prioritize their mental health, we take a step towards building a healthier and happier society.
For many students, deciding what to do after school is confusing and stressful. Astitva’s career counseling programs made things easier by helping them understand their interests and talents. Through friendly guidance, students learned about different job options and how to prepare for them. They were also taught skills like writing a good resume and performing well in interviews. These sessions gave them the courage to dream big and the tools to take steps toward their goals, turning uncertainty into hope for a bright future.
Art has a special power—it can heal and bring peace to the mind. Through Astitva’s Healing Through Art initiative, in partnership with the Mind and Arts Institute, individuals find a safe space to express their emotions. Each brushstroke becomes a way to let out unspoken feelings, and every color tells a story of hope and healing.
This program goes beyond regular learning. It helps people deal with stress, discover their inner strength, and feel more balanced. By using art as therapy, Astitva shows that creativity can mend hearts, build resilience, and light the way to a brighter, more peaceful future.
Early child marriage robs children, especially girls, of their right to education and a better future. Astitva’s initiative to combat this practice focuses on empowering communities through awareness and education. Through interactive workshops, the program creates safe spaces for children to voice their fears and dreams, helping them see a life beyond early marriage.
By promoting the importance of education, the initiative encourages families to prioritize schooling over marriage for their daughters. These efforts not only protect children from an uncertain future but also equip them with the tools and confidence to build brighter lives. Astitva believes that by keeping children in school, we can break the cycle of early marriage and create a generation that values education and self-reliance.
