On the occasion of World Health Day 2025, Astitva Social Welfare Foundation organised a Health Check-up Camp for adolescent girls at Pandu Bapu Mali Municipal High School in Shirpur on April 5th and 7th. With the theme “Healthy Beginnings, Hopeful Futures” guiding the initiative, the camp aimed to promote early awareness about health and well-being among young girls.
More than 200 girls were screened during the camp. Health check-ups included anemia screening, random sugar tests, BMI and nutrition assessments, blood pressure, vision, and skin checks. Special focus was given to menstrual hygiene, emotional well-being, and nutrition, with interactive sessions and one-on-one counseling.
The camp also created a safe space for girls to talk about their challenges—physically, emotionally, and socially—and receive guidance on how to manage them with confidence.
This initiative is part of our ongoing efforts to empower adolescent girls with knowledge, early care, and the tools to lead healthier lives—at home, in school, and beyond.
